Seders

Monday, March 29, 2010
7:30 pm

  • Traditional Seder From start to finish, Rabbi Jeffery Summit’s Seder has got everything and anything you would want in a quality traditional Seder. Be ready for singing, Hebrew and English readings, engaging table conversations, and a Dayenu that never ends (ok it does eventually). Join this Seder and see what Rabbi Summit has planned for this year.
(Granoff Family Hillel Center) Purchase tickets online.

  • Liberal Seder  Come and hear the Exodus story for yourself at this creative and interactive peer-led Seder. The Reform community will lead you through the Passover story with great readings, better tunes, and plenty of matzah balls for all.
(Interfaith Center, Winthrop Street) Purchase tickets online.

  • Social Justice Seder: Raising a Moral Voice* Passover is a holiday about celebrating freedom and redemption, but sadly this is still not the reality for many in the world. Join this Seder and explore the various themes within Passover that can teach us about social justice and slavery and how we as people are obligated to face this reality. Plenty of matzah and justice to go around.
(Granoff Family Hillel Center) Purchase tickets online.
    * Supported in part by Moral Voices: The Merrin Distinguished Lecture Series, a project of Tufts Hillel.

Tuesday, March 30, 2010
7:30 pm

  • Traditional Seder Come enjoy the second Passover Seder led by Hillel’s own Lauren Estes as she leads a traditional Seder at the Granoff Hillel Center. Bring your appetite and be ready for a more intimate Seder.
(Granoff Family Hillel Center) Purchase tickets online.

  • Seder Shalem: an in-depth discussion experience Following a brief evening service, this student-led Seder will engage with the entire text of the Haggadah in a thoughtful yet convivial discussion. Working mainly from the Hebrew text (supplemented by an English translation), participants will share either prepared or impromptu musings about slavery, freedom, Jewish history, teaching children, the Exodus, and more. The discussions will be punctuated with lively and enthusiastic singing, long into the night!
(Granoff Family Hillel Center) Purchase tickets online.

Cost:   Early registration by March 22, 2010 – $15/Seder or $12/Seder with use of meal plan. Registration after March 22, 2010 – $17/Seder or $14/Seder with use of meal plan.
