Tufts
Hillel is committed to educating students about issues important
to the Jewish community. This education can come in many forms:
lectures, discussions, films and text studies have all been
past forums for learning and education. Whether it is learning
about a Jewish holiday or tradition, discussing the implications
of a particular Jewish law in daily life, or discussing current
events from a Jewish perspective, students have the opportunity
to engage their peers in discussion about these relevant topics.
These programs are often student-led, giving students the
opportunity to teach and learn from their fellow students.
Tufts Hillel also has a strong commitment to collaboration
on the Tufts campus to create a community where all groups
have the opportunity to educate and understand each other
across a broad cultural and religious spectrum. The student
board has worked with several other groups on campus and has
created many forums in which Jewish and non-Jewish students
can learn from each other.
