Hillel regularly collaborates with student organizations,
academic and administrative departments and community organizations
to provide innovative programming for the Tufts campus. In
addition to our broad range of programs that address the social,
religious, educational and cultural needs of the Tufts Jewish
community, Hillel is especially interested in working with
our partners to create opportunities that foster cross-cultural
dialogue and understanding and that address issues
of social justice.
For the last three consecutive years, Hillel was awarded
the Student Activities Office "Synergy Award" for
best campus co-sponsored programs with several distinguished
campus partners. In 2003 the Pan-African
Alliance and the
African Student Organization collaborated with Hillel
for an on-going "Black-Jewish Dialogue Series."
The Muslim Students
Association and Hillel joined forced to create the "Muslim-Jewish"
Dialogue Series" which received an award in 2003. Last
year, Hillel shared the "Synergy Award" with the
Tufts Christian Fellowship
for its thoughtful forum on Mel Gibson's film "The Passion."
If your group, office or department is interested in exploring
ways to collaborate with Tufts Hillel, please contact Lauren
Estes, Assistant Director.
