The Learning Committee plans educational programs based on current topics of interest to the Tufts Hillel community. Each semester, members host a variety of lectures, lunch and learns, films, and discussions of relevant and timely issues.
Whether it is learning about a Jewish holiday or tradition, debating the implications of a Jewish law in daily life, or discussing current events from a Jewish perspective, students have the opportunity to teach and learn from their fellow students.
Past events have featured a discussion of golems in pop culture, Jewish views on stem cells, and a visit to Vilna Shul, the historical center of Jewish life in Boston. Committee members bring their ideas for interesting events and develop planning skills.
