A Statement on Our Commitment to Social Justice
Posted: January 26, 2017
At Tufts Hillel, we pledge to redouble our efforts to create a safe community that celebrates the strength and value of diversity on our campus and in our country. We will continue our commitment to work for racial justice, educate about and oppose Islamophobia and anti-Semitism, stand in solidarity with immigrants, work actively to resettle Syrian refugees, strongly advocate for the establishment of a just two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians as well as for the sustainability of our fragile planet. We deeply oppose any expressions of racism, misogyny, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and homophobia, especially from those in government service. We affirm that our country’s moral standing is strengthened by protecting the diversity and vibrant democracy that brings greatness to our country.
